Making a Last Will and testament for ex JWs

so you survived the wts upbringing and despite a bad start managed to put your life back together and plan for the future:.

pension planning and general finance for ex-jws.

sadly, you may find yourself still at a disadvantage as you lack the support group of friends and family that many rely on and could be cut-off even from immediate family.. but it can't get any worse can it?.

Good idea. Get a will. You do not want JW family giving your estate to WTBT$

I know here in New Mexico, U.S.A if you do not make a will, your estate automatically goes to your kids first and if there is no heir then it goes to your parents [if surviving] but if not, your siblings.

There is no way in hell that I want any of my JW family getting my property. If any heirs listed in my will do not survive me, then it goes to the St Jude's Children's research hospital. They never charge the families to treat the kids.

I'm somewhat back again

i had to take a break from jwn here because after all the drama that unfolded over a certain new anti-wt organization i had to back off because i had unbearable emotions and "flashbacks" to being a jw and being bullied.

even though i didn't experience any direct bullying, seeing it happen caused all the negative emotions to come back because i felt like i was back at the kingdom hall.

so i just left for awhile.. i've been having to do a lot of soul searching lately and reevaluating my life.

You go Sweetie! When we let JJ post our elder visit video we knew that if anyone recognized us, we were done. But like Gojira said, we've already lost all of our friends and family, so what more can they do to us. They have NO AUTHORITY over anyone unless YOU allow them to.

At least they didn't shoot anyone. The APD has been taking a lot of heat lately because they've just been gunning down suspects. There is another one the news station reported on, where 2 cops were chasing somebody and some how 'accidently' hit each other head on. I'll see if I can find that picture also.

Family is drawing the line in the sand

so my family has obviously been noticing over the past several months that i've been missing meetings and fs.

i've had excuses sometimes, but not others, so my parents are definitely getting that this is more than a long bout of illnesses or fatigue.

i just received an email invitation to join them in service this weekend.

DO NOT ADMIT anything to them, they will start shunning you that instant, if they're like my family.

If you live here in the U.S.A, the weathermen are warning about the heatwave coming and since you got heat exhaustion last weekend you have to stay indoors under the air conditioning and take plenty of fluids.

Or, One of your out-of-town friends [don't name any names] just caught their spouse cheating on them and is really down & depressed and you have to go visit them.

If you live in the other hemisphere adapt the excuse to the winter

The cherry on top of a crap year

a self indulgent post - just need to vent.

i've had a year... spent two years dating my ex jw bf and spending way too much time trying to get him out.

read way too many books, i.e crisis of conscience, freedom of mind, i'm perfect you're not, and even the damn bible, blah blah blah.

They're hopelessy lost without us! Sorry to hear about your difficulties Newday22. Breathe. I just heard on the news that the job outlook is better for women than for men. See, even employers know who is gonna get the real work done.

Can I join in, in the venting?

Hubby left for a 10 day camping rendezvous/trade show and forgot to take the winter cover & insulation off of our evaporative cooler and its 100 degrees. I can't find the special socket to take the screw out to do it myself. I'm dying! He has no cell service so I can't call him to ask where he put the damn tool.

On the same day, 2 weeks ago we lost both of the timing belts in BOTH of our vehicles and ruined both engines. And don't make enough $$$ to go get another one. So, I'm stranded here at home.

Ok, I think I'm done.
